The cutest witch I've ever seen!!

The background is Adirondack wild plum blended on a sheet of Blonde Moments Yorkshire Pudding paper and stamped over with one of Tim's background stamps with black archival ink.

On two sides of the paper I drew round the largest 'stamped' Colour My World template and cut out, off set on a sheet of black Bazzill, faux stitched in white added three pictures of the cutest witch on her first Halloween...

I stuck pink grosgrain to black satin ribbon, pleated and added some small brads to hold in place...

added a title a few flowers, buttons, card candy, black bling and Viva pearl pen in black and lilac.

Chocolate cake and flowers!!

Someone asked me to to make an Anniversary card for her parents, and this is what I have made.

Basic Grey Wisteria papers, Bazzill and the stripe is from Nana's nursery stack for boys. Sarah Kay stamped image coloured with Copics and cut with Nellie C's oval and mounted on a large oval nestie, Martha Stewart new scalloped edge punch finished off with flowers and charm.

We have had a great scrapbooking class tonight and to top it off Mary had baked a chocolate and toffee brownie cake...... it was to die for!! delicious. Thank you Mary and also thank you for my beautiful flowers.

I will blog my layout tomorrow along with our January ATC's you still have a few more days left if you would like to join in the theme is 'Springtime'

I have also been asked if I can start a challenge blog for cards and scrapbooking!!So I will have a think about that one.

Quick cards!!

A couple of very quick birthday cards.

I am always last minute with everything just lately, and as I have been suffering with head ache I had put off making any cards...until yes you've guessed it, until last minute!! While rummaging through my stash I came across a couple of sheets of images!! There are four different designs to each sheet. I quickly found some suitable background paper, contrast card stock and matching flowers, which turned out to be enough to make two and hey presto a couple of quick cards.

Now to make an anniversary card!

New year resolution!

Every time I tidy up my craft stuff I put unfinished items in a box, well that was before my unfinished projects grew so they needed two boxes! So my new years resolutions was to finish off, some if not all before starting anything else.

Yesterday I finished one!! Yavvy! Not sure how long I will be able to keep it up, but it felt good to finish one. See what you think...

Firstly I applied gesso all over lightly with a baby wipe to a Maya Road blank scalloped edge chipboard book. When it was dry I applied Adirondack acrylic paint dabbers of each page to make a boarder. Cool Peri to front cover, eggplant to second page and lemonade to the third and then repeated on next 3 pages in same order.

I used Crafty Individuals 'Springtime' papers, Tim's stamps, ribbons, paper flowers and other assorted embellies, black viva pearl pen and a few doodles here and there.

Are you keeping to your new year resolutions?

15 January 2010

As promised...

... my layout from last night. The flowers and post card are cut from Black Market Paper Society 'Dessert Palm Shores' I have inked all the edges, and adage tickets with peeled paint distress ink, a little stamping on the cream card stock with one of Tims stamps from the 'slight alterations' collection which are perfect for creating backgrounds. I've cut a strip from the left overs punched with a Martha Stewart doily lace punch added a couple of bits of lace and a dark brown Viva pearl swirl to finish off.

I'm thinking I might add another little swirl with my Viva pearl pen. I will have another look at it tomorrow.

Have a great weekend

Scrapbooking

We had a fab scrapbooking class tonight!! It was great to get back together after the long break. It was our first class of 2010!! We had the Christmas/New Year break and then came the snow. It has been a few weeks since we had our last scrap class, so there was lots to catch up on and most of us had withdrawal symptoms!! lol
Sadly a few could not make it, fingers crossed girls the weather will be a lot better next week!! Hope you got rid of your head ache Sue! and poor Jo had to work late!

There was also the usual tea, coffee, chatter, laughter and of course the odd bit of scrapbooking got done too!

Tonight's layout was green and cream using papers from the Black Market paper range 'Letters from Paradise' range - 'Dessert Palm Shores' on a cream Bazzill card stock background, and as usual I forgot to take a picture!! :-( I will do it in the morning, promise. In the mean time you can view Kerry's layout here.

Hope the weather is getting better where you are, and you have not got too much of the white stuff.

Have a good Friday after all the weekend starts here! Lynnex

Scrapbooking tonight!

Our weekly Thursday night scrapbooking class is open tonight, this will be the first one this year!! The snow is thawing nicely now and most of the paths and pavements around Hilsborough are now clear of snow and ice. It seems to have been around for ages, doesn't it? I for one am glad to see the back of it!
The shop is open as normal on Friday and Saturday 10am - 4pm as long as the weather stays as it is, fingers crossed.

A few snowy pictures

Bob and I managed to get out for a couple of hours on Saturday for a nice walk before all the family arrived. I took some pictures, although to be honest I have seen enough of the white stuff for the time being any way, so it might be a while before I use them for any layouts.

13 January 2010

Tonights class is cancelled! :-(

We have decide to cancel tonight's class due to the weather. We woke to black ice this morning and it is still very tricky under foot to say the least!! Now it is snowing again!! aaaarrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh sorry I needed to do that! I think we have all had enough of this weather now. It has gone on toooooooooo long the snow was pretty for a while but now it is ugly!! lol

So there is no class tonight Wednesday 13th January 2010 due to the weather and if it does not melt over night there is probably not going to be any classes tomorrow either.
If you are not sure ring us to check. If you know people who come to class who do not have email or Internet please can you let them know too. I have tried to keep in contact with everyone.

The plumber got our heating back on this afternoon. He came this morning and found the fault went and got two new parts and fitted them. Now we just have to wait for the bill. I wouldn't mind but the boiler is only 4 years old. Eh they don't make em like they use to as my Grandma would say.

Stay safe and warm and happy crafting. I am doing some paperwork this evening but not the kind I enjoy! I have told myself that if I sit and finish it tonight then my reward, tomorrow I can craft! lol If you fancy crafting tonight and are not sure what to make how about joining in our ATC challenge for Jan, theme 'Spring' See post below.

Birthday girl!!

We have had a great evening an Ava has gone home shattered, it is hard work being a birthday princess. Ava had a birthday party on Sunday at home with family and friends and tonight we went for a family meal. My BH missed out as our central heating has gone on the blink again! so he volunteered to wait in for the plumber, who has still not arrived! I am sat here typing this with more layers than an onion on!! lol and I am going to bed with them all on too!! lol
Ava at her party on Sunday in her pink fairy costume!!

Even little fairies get tired!! :-)

I took lots of pictures at the party on Sunday and I am not really happy with any of them! :-( I will edit and print some and see what I can retrieve. I was hoping that some one would have got some better ones this evening but up to now mine are the best!!! which does not say a lot for my families camera skills!! I will have to be creative with the layouts, you can improve a lot of photos with a few selectively placed embellies!! lol
Ava when we went out this evening

and of course this little number had matching boots!!
