Christmas is coming...

Good morning bloggers, hope you are not snowed in and you are managing to keep warm.
It is snowing here this morning in Sheffield we have a light covering over the ice and snow we already had and looking at the weather looks like there is a lot more to come this week.
We have been lucky enough to have a guest florist at Craft Den this weekend.

The lovely Jill came along to show us how to make beautiful Christmas wreaths.

The studio before anyone arrived...

the tables laid out ready.

My wreath as a WIP

Guess who is hiding behind this one??

Here's Jil'sl finished wreath, sorry about the light :-(

the close up is slightly better, I did say slightly.

We all had a fabulous time Jill, thank you for a very enjoyable day.

If there is one good thing about this weather it is we can all stay in and craft.

Love Lynne xx

Not has planned

I didn't get to spend the day crating after all, we did something far better, yes I did say far better, we went to visit Ava.

We had just finished breakfast when Ben phoned to see what we had planned. He didn't have to ask twice if we wanted to go over for the day. Ava has been poorly on and off for several weeks now, she had a flu virus at the end of September and has never seemed to pick up properly, catching one bug after another ever since.
We have had a lovely day although Ava has been very quiet and not her usual bouncy self, she spend most of her time cuddled up on Granddads lap. It was lovely to spend the day with her never the less. We are hoping that she is on the mend now, she goes back to the docs tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Another card order, this time a bit more more my style 'cute blue card for sister' I have used my all time favorite stamp 'Daisy' backing paper is from Basic Grey Wisteria collection, teamed with lemon and blue Bazzill, Prima flowers and bling, flower charm, Craftworkcards sentiments finished off with pearl pen and Stickles.

Hope you like it.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
Happy crafting.

Buddha card

Good morning to all my crafting buddies. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I have a got a lovely crafting day a head of me. I have got lots of cards to make both for myself and for orders.

My card this morning was for a customer who wanted a large Buddha in lilacs and purples for her Mum. Wasn't really sure where to start with this one. Have a look and let me know what you think I always enjoy reading your comments.

I started with a A3 sheet of purple card fort he main card and used Bo Bunny Peacock Lane for the backing sheet. Built a lovely big flower with a mix of white and purple paper and silk blooms added a brad and charm lots of pearl pen and Prima bling. The image is coloured with Copics cut out and matted and layered a few times for a bit more dimension,

a few punched flowers and lots of Stickles.

The Prima bling looked fab, doesn't really sparkle in my picture.

Really enjoyed making this card as it was a pleasant change from Crimbo cards.

What ever you are up to today enjoy.
Happy Crafting.

ATC challenge

We had a lovely evening last night in the studio instead of our usual scrapbooking class we had a crop lots of chatting, laughing tea drinking and Kathryn brought some yummy chocs which went down a treat. Thanks ladies for making it such an enjoyable evening it was just what we all needed.

We have had lots more deliveries of scrummy stash including the most divine flowers, 12 x 12 papers, cardstock and more A4 card and die cut decoupage. Which will all be on the web site shortly..... will let you know when it is on.

Things have just been so busy around here for the last few weeks and then I have not been feeling too well, which does not help at all. Anyway we have not had an ATC swap for a while a few of you have mentioned you have missed us doing a swap every month so lets get it going again and what better theme to start with than 'Let It Snow' this is also our theme this week over on Anything Goes so if you make one you can enter our challenge too!

Here is another one from the set of ATC's I have made for this weeks challenge.
So if you would like to receive one of my ATC's I would love to hear from you. I love seeing what you have made.

Blogger has let me leave a few comments last night and this morning but it has taken ages. Is anyone else have these problems? Some times the comment box isn't even there and some times it is but you have you are unable to type it is most bizarre....

Well I have some yummy new stash waiting....
That just leaves me to say thank Crunchie it is Friday!! Happy Crafting Love Lynne xx

Let It Snow!

Our challenge this week over on

Anything Goes

Let It Snow!
I have made a set of ATCs for a change not made any for ages, this is one of them.
The papers I have used are Black Market Paper Society 'Plum Pudding' Crafty Individuals 'Let It Snow ' stamp MS snowflake punch, Craftwork cards card candy and finished off with some pearl pen. I will show more of them later, blogger permitting.

It has taken several goes over the 3 days to blog this, which has been a challenge in itself.

I am also unable to leave any comments for any of you, the comment box either isn't there or editable or it just comes up error on page and won't open arrrgghhh! I will keep trying so don't think I am ignoring you. Any suggestions welcome. I have been through the help files on blogger but with no joy. I did think for a while it had sorted itself out but it seems worse if anything.

So back to this weeks challenge Let It Snow

We have two guest designers joining our DT this week

so why not pop over and take a look at what they have all been busy making, there are some beautiful works of art on there. Thank you ladies you have done us proud.

I would also like to thank Kathryn for persevering with the post as it became a challenge in itself this week getting the pictures and Mr Linky all on the blog, when blogger just didn't want to play!

Happy Crafting

Emboss It!

Tuesday evening and time for another challenge over at

The theme for our 24th Challenge is:

Emboss It
This can be Cuttlebug, Sizzix embossing folders or similar,
stencil and light box, embossing board, stamping and heat embossing, triple embossing or any other embossing you can think of, we would love to see it.

This is my card I have used a Cuttlebug folder for the pearlescent grey and one of Tim Holtz embossing folders from the Alterations range, love this folder it gives very deep embossed detail. It has been sanded and then lightly inked with a pale lilac chalk ink, matted on some white cardstock with a piece of ric rack braid stapled on with a Ranger tiny attacher. A band of lilac card stock that has also been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

A close up pic to show the punched buttons, yes they are black paper

Ribbon, tag and a few black pearls to finish off

Why not pop over and have a look at the fabulous creations our DT have come up with this week?

B is for Banner

I have a few pictures to share with you this evening, of a banner that hangs in our studio.
It was made and designed by Jill (with no blog, yet!) It reads 'Magnolia Stamps' it is absolutely fabulous, and I am thrilled to bits with it. Each piece measure 12" tall and each letter is 5 1/2" cut on the Cricut with the Storybook cartridge.
I must apologise for my pictures as they are not the best and by no means do it justice.

I took several pictures this afternoon but not all of them are clear enough to show. I was balancing on a chair at the time trying to get some close ups. lol

Not all the letters are here and they are not in any order

There are large bows at either end which really set it off beautifully.

Blogger is being a pain and won't load the rest, so thats your lot for tonight.

Happy Crafting Lynne x

Challenge 23 - The letter 'B'

It Tuesday evening again and that means it is time for a new challenge over at Anything Goes

This week the theme for the challenge
is the letter 'B'
When I showed BH my card this evening he said Pirates doesn't start with B.

To which I replied no but, black, brown and blue do.
To which he then said, Is that the best you can come up with?

Why didn't you do a baby boy on a bike riding under a banner chasing a badger through some buttercups with a basket of buns eating a banana with butterflies flying around in the air?

I just looked at him in amazement wondering where all that came from!
I didn't have an answer at the time, but maybe tomorrow I will challenge him to make one!

So here is my card for this weeks challenge the letter 'B'

B is for Black, Brown Blue

and also: brad, button, barrel, bench, buckle, bones, bloom, bling, bell

OK I am off to look for a stamp of a baby boy on a bike eating a banana! ROFL

Has anyone got one in there stash?? lol

Wouldn't that be hilarious if they did?? lol

Even if you don't I hope we have inspired you to join us

we love to see your creations.

Why not hop over to Anything Goes and see what are DT have come up with

Happy Crafting.

Halloween Star Book Decoration

Good evening to all of you. I hope you are having a lovely spooky evening. Our visitors have just left including Ava. I have some lovely pictures to share with you later when we close the blog candy.
I made a Halloween star book for Ava and added some ribbons to make into a hanging decoration.

I alternated purple, green and orange card to make the main star shape and then added black card to each section and decorated each one.

This is my favorite section with the haunted house cut on Cricut and white pen detail to highlight edges, Doo Hickey lamp post die and foiled spiders web with sections cut out to reveal the black underneath.

The pumpkins are a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder, I inked the edges with purple and green on the leaf. The cat is a Doo Hickey die more foiled papers and lovely spider ribbon.

The ghosts and head stones and Boo text are all Sizzlit dies the cat is cut on the Cricut. Foiled railings from my fabulous Halloween paper pad.

a close up of the beautiful foiled papers.

I will be back later to announce the winner of the blog candy. Well that is if I can keep a wake, which is looking doubtful. You may have to wait until tomorrow.
