What a difference a week makes

I have another quilt to share with you today. I have been commissioned to make this for a little boy who is mad on cars. One good thing about this snowy weather is you can sew, sew, sew.

The garden today looks much like yesterday, a winter wonderland! It doesn't seem to be moving much at all and it is so cold. So I thought I would share some pictures from in the garden last Sunday.

 Ava enjoying a swing

Rocco and Alfie playing football. Think they need a new ball, don't you?

The little man himself.

Happy crafting

More patchwork

This is what we got up to this morning

So I decided to get the shopping in and spend the day sewing.

I cut and prepared my fabrics and started building my blocks.

I have used two different cog print fabrics, also a small cream dot with green background and small mustard spot on a blue background teamed with a contrasting mustard solid.

A couple of finished blocks

Some of the the finished blocks...might introduce a couple more colours tomorrow.

Well it does look like another sewing day...

I have a few more pictures to show you I thought I would share some pics of my old Singer sewing

I love all the gold detail.

Happy crafting.

Crazy quilt

I have added some more wonky squares to my crazy quilt.

Now all I have to do is finish off sewing the binding on.

If the snow keeps falling I may get time this weekend as we will be cancelling our family get together.

What ever you have planned this weekend ENJOY!

Happy crafting.

House shaped printers tray workshop

Today Jean & Malcolm from Craft Individuals visited Craft Den, Sheffield for our 1st guest tutor workshop for 2013.

Here are a few of the wonderful creations the ladies have made

All very beautiful, and a couple of pictures from earlier in the day
when the ladies were all busy painting and inking.

Thank you ladies for making it a very enjoyable day, hope I haven't passed this awful cold onto any of you!

A BIG thank you to Jean and Malcolm for a lovely relaxed workshop.

Now I am off for a hot lemon and an early night to get ready for tomorrows patchwork class.
