What kind of weather is this???

This morning started warm and sunny here in Sheffield by lunch time it was very hot. We sat in the back garden, the dogs were out and about a really lovely day.

Late this afternoon it started to go a little dark and I heard a rumble of thunder. In came the washing and the dogs, and down it came. At first it was very large drops of rain which turned to hail stones...

very large hails stones and before long the lawn looked like this...

the water came down the drive like a river bringing the hail stones with it and before no time at all the lawn was flooded.

After the rain and hail had stopped the hail stones stayed on the lawn until the sun came out again and melted them. Is this what they call April showers???? lol
What has the weather been like with you today?

It is a lovely warm sunny morning here in Sheffield fingers crossed it will stay like this for the rest of the Bank holiday weekend. I have a few Easter cards to show you this morning. I don't usually do many Easter cards if any, this year I have sent lots and had fun making them. This afternoon Ava and I are making some baskets and decorating eggs really looking forward to that.

All will be on the website shortly. A lot of deliveries means a lots of boxes so I was really pleased of some help...

 A little rest was needed...

Scrapbooking class

Good evening to all my crafting buddies. I hope you have all had a lovely relaxing weekend and been able to enjoy the glorious weather we have been having. Lets hope it continues for the bank holiday weekend.

I have a scrapbook layout to share with you this evening. It is one from our all day scrapbooking class a couple of weeks ago. The papers are from my favourite company Bo Bunny. Most of the flowers are cut from the paper with a few punched flowers and leaves added.

A blank label waiting for a little bit of journaling

Snail Hunt-er

I spent a lovely relaxing Sunday morning last week scrapbooking. It was the first weekend in ages that we had nothing planned. This layout is of Ava looking for snails, she loves finding the shells, up to now no one has ever been home! I think she may not be so keen when she finds one occupied. lol

I have kept the layout simple, mounted the pictures on some brown Bazzill basic cardstock and doodled round the edge with white pen. The background is a sheet of Daisy Bucket which I have had in my stash for ages, time they got used up to make room for some more.

The snails are from the Walk in My Garden cartridge cut on the Cricut from pink and brown Bo Bunny Double Dot papers, I have inked the edges, shaped the snails and shells and decoupaged with silicone,  highlighted with white pen and added silver and black pearl pen to finish off. The letters are cut from brown Bazzill using the Storybook cartridge, more white pen for the faux stitching around the edges.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and find time to fit in a little crafting.
We have another relaxing weekend planned and if the weather is as good as forecast you will find me crafting in the garden. Thanks for popping by. Happy crafting love and hugs Lynne xx

Exciting news!!!

Hi to all my crafting blogging buddies I've got some very exciting news to share with you today. I have 2 cards in the May edition of Making Card magazine, how brilliant is that? The theme is wedding and ive gone with a shabby chic theme. Just can't tell you how chuffed I am, I am grinning from ear to ear!! :-)

For the first card I used papers from Kars Country Rose 6x6 pad, Its Only Words stamp set 4 from Ladybug CraftInk, Wooden heart which I painted with acrylics and distress paint techniques and decorated with a couple of flowers and some bling. I add a piece of blue lace to my punched border and a couple of heart pins to finish off.

For my second card I used GCD 8x8 Ella Blue paper pad. I cut a grunge board heart and wings with T!ms alteration die. Distressed them with mushroom and cloudy blue paint dabbers edged with InkaGold old gold wrapped brown thread around the heart twice added a Prima Say it with studs to finish off.

The article is called Rustic Nuptials on pages 66 and 67

Thanks for popping by and if you like what you see leave me a comment and I will pop over and check out what you have been up to.
Have a great day and thank Crunchie its Friday.

Easter card and Polychromos

Hello my lovely creative crafting buddies, seems ages since I last blogged. Not had much time lately been busy stock taking etc and doing lots of boring stuff with just a little crafting thrown in now and then just to keep me going.

One of the Easter cards we made in a recent card class. I have used a mix of lemon and white checked, floral and spotty card to make three layers. I have cut  apertures in the top two layers with the lage and then the next size down blossom nesties. The images are Magnolia Easter stamps coloured with Copics and a mix of Martha Stewart, EK Success and Woodware punches to create the flowers and leaves. All finished off with some lovely crystal Stickles.
Tonight we have been having a play with the lovely Faber Castell Polychromos which we had delivered yesterday. We made some beautiful double twisted easel cards which I will show tomorrow.

Just look at all those yummy colours.

We have added some more dates to the timetable for all day card classes and scrapbooking here

Thank you to everyone who has joined in our challenges and a BIG thank you to my wonderful DT who have kept everything going while I have been busy.

I thought I would enter this card in to the Creative Belli - Eggs and Bunnies

See you all tomorrow. Love and hugs Lynne xox
