Things are no better!!!! Aaarrrrrrrggggggghh

Well things haven't improved any on the blogging front, so tonight I have started a new blog, not posted anything on it yet will let you know when I have. I am still not sure if it was the right thing to do but I will give it a go. I managed to leave a comment for someone tonight and then 27 windows of that blog opened!! Whats that all about??? There must be gremlins in the works or something. Is it just me or do you all experience these problems?

Fimo Bev was in the studio yesterday for our children's Fimo class. Here's a picture of what they were making - a Fimo Wallace character. Isn't he just great?

Next week it they will be making Shaun sheep.

Ohhhhhhh Blogger!!

I can't get on hardly any blogs or leave any comments again this morning!!!
"page cannot be displayed!!"

I will try again later today. I am considering starting a new blog to see if this sorts the problem.

I have managed to upload some pictures of Ava, my gorgeous Granddaughter I took on Saturday. Sorry they are a little bit blurry.

A last some pictures

At last I have managed to upload some pictures. The first one is Jane M's finished page from Thursday nights scrapbooking crop.

Gorgeous page Jane. Pricess Jenny is very pretty. Louisa's finished layout from Thursday night can be seen here
the next few pics are of a lovely book Jane O has made for her friend, Ann. I hope Ann doesn't read my blog as I don't know when Jane was going to give this too her, so I might be in trouble :-(

Jane has used papers from the Gypsy Market collection

Great book Jane and I am sure Ann will love it.

Here is a picture of Wallace, tomorrow morning's Fimo class 10:00am - 12:00 with Bev.

There are still some places left if you are looking for something for the children to do.

Oh No!!

Blogger isn't working properly again!! It is soooooooo annoying, it is taking ages to try and do anything today!! I will try again later.

I have just managed to upload one picture of Ava having her tea in her new high chair. Lets hope I have more luck later.

Bad blogger!!

I know I have been a bad blogger again this week sorry. Blogger has been acting up which is driving me mad!! I have not been able to leave comments at all this week!! last week it was duplicating them leaving them 2 or even 3 times!! Does anyone else have problems or is it just me???? I have still been calling by to see what you have all been up to, but unable to leave you a comment!! :-(

OK, so what have I been up to? On Tuesday morning we made Christmas cards, again!!! in our card making class - I will try and load the pictures later

On Tuesday evening Ann was in the studio making some lovely tag books, mmmm absolutely gorgeous and as always a great night was had by all, everyone loves Ann's classes. Thanks Ann, we are all looking forward to the next one.

Jane brought in a lovely book she had made for her friend who is also called Ann. I have taken some pictures and hopefully I will be able to load them later too, fingers crossed.

Wednesday was another great day. We had some lovely ladies in the studio for our Copic workshop...

Chanelle's card

and last night was our weekly Scrapbooking crop. Phew! what a great but busy week. Think I need a rest now!! lol

I have been asked to arrange a monthly ATC swap at Craft Den. The theme for the first swap is Starsigns. If you would like to join in, here's what you have to do. Make one ATC using the theme starsigns for 31st August. All the ATC's will be displayed in the studio first for one week before the swap. When we receive an ATC it will be given a number which will be used for the swap. All the numbers will be put in a draw for the swap. No 1 ATC will be swapped with the first number drawn and No2 with the second number drawn.... If you want to join in and do not live near the studio, we will accept photographs and the address can be forwarded to you after the draw for you to send your ATC.

Don't forget Fimo Bev will be back in the studio again on Monday morning making some fantastic things with the children. We have also added and extra card class on Wednesday morning for the children. We will be making handbag and car cards. The morning classes are 10am - 12:00 noon. Please email info@craftden.co.uk if you require any more information about these or any other classes.

Day out

Had a fantastic day off on Saturday thanks to Julie, who looked after the shop for me. I went to a workshop at Crafty Individuals with a few crafting buddies. We made framed compartments. We painted, crackled and distressed our frames and then filled each of the twelve compartments with metal, small pictures, charms, beads, lace, ribbon, flowers anything we could find that we could fit in, went in!!. Jean had put out so much stuff out to use we were spoilt for choice!! Not to mention the tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits that were on offer all day too!! It was such a fabulous relaxed day, I really enjoyed it.

I also bought lots of Crafty Individual stamps and paper pads back for the shop, which I will put on the website in the next couple of days.

Hope you have all had a good weekend too.

The weekend again!!!

As Victor Meldrew would say - I don't believe it!! the weekend is here again, this week has passed by in a flash, a blink of the eye and it was gone!

So what have I been up to??

Last Saturday was our monthly all day Scrapbooking crop, and great fun as always.

On Tuesday morning we were making Christmas cards, Yes, Christmas cards in July on one of the hottest days of the year!! On Tuesday evening Ann was in the studio making some fab cards with alcohol inks, this Tuesday Ann will be back in the studio making a lovely tag book with Blonde Moments papers, inks and bits and bobs with a few ribbons to finish it off, this will be a two week class. Wednesday night was our weekly craft night, this week we coloured some stamped images with Copics. It was Sue's birthday last week and she had been very naughty not telling anyone!! So this week we had arranged a birthday cake and candle.
Thursday was our weekly scrapbooking night, we used some very bright vibrant papers from Bo Bunny's Love shack range. We teamed these beautiful bright papers with ribbon and dew drops to make a very girly layout.

Tonight I have been out for a lovely family meal at our local pub. Little Ava is now getting very strong and pulling herself up wanting to sit up. Ava is six months old tomorrow so that I will be scrapbooking tonights pictures for her six months page in our album.
Ava enjoying her Lancashire Hot Pot

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

3 July 2009

Nearly the weekend again!!

I can't believe it is Friday already!! Where has the week gone? I am looking forward to tomorrow as it is our monthly scrapbooking day. It is always a great day with lots of chattering, laughing, munching of chocolate biscuits and of course not to forget the cropping.

We have been trying out the Martha Stewart punches as some of you are finding the MS punches are not cutting "paper" correctly.

They work perfectly with card - even heavy embossed cardstock - but do not work very well with thin paper - the punch doesn't want to release the paper from the body of the punch. If they are going to be used with fairly thin paper - the paper should be inserted into the punch WITH some cardstock - you will find this stops all the problems of the paper not being released. Let me know what you think.

Stock update I have now got all the wonderful Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints on to the web site here unfortunately I have not got the colour swatches on!! :-( the chart can be viewed here.

We now stock Sizzix machines, dies, replacement mats and accessories.

What happened to the sun??? it's raining here in Sheffield this morning!! Is that the summer over or will it be back later, I wonder...
