WOYWW

Good morning to you all. I went to bed early last night with the head ache of all head aches, but thank goodness this morning it has gone.

It is Wednesday morning and that can only mean one thing here in blogland WOYWW
and if you don't know what I am talking about pop over to Julias blog and have a look. Julia is the leader of WOYWW it is when we all get to have a good snoop around and share pics of desks, craft rooms, drawers even on top of washing machines any where crafters create, its fun and and a good way of meeting more crafting buddies.

OK, so what is on my dinning room table this morning.
I have three more word albums ordered:

BABY

HAPPY

SISTER

They are all taped up ready for covering.
BH cut the sister book from chipboard as I could not get a pre cut one. He has made a really good job of it too, might have to give him the job on a regular basis. :-)

A few weeks ago I was given a bag of old dress making patterns and I have only just got round to having a look at them. There are a lot, more than I first thought so look out for some projects using these.

Talking of sewing it is this months theme for our ATC swap, if you love making ATCs and would like to join us drop one in the post before next Tuesday with a SAE.
mmm I wonder if I could use some tissue from one of the patterns on mine... what this space.

Take care and have a lovely Wednesday and make sure you fit in some 'crafty me' time. Lynne x

A BIG thank you to everyone who joined in week 8 - STARS

In Saturday's beading class we will be making a "Saturn" necklace, so named because some of the beads are encased in wire cages which look like planetary rings.

Scrapbooking

I thought I would show you one of the layouts from our all day scrapbooking class a few weeks ago. I used papers from the Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade collection.

I roughly cut a large circle from the centre of a sheet of Overture and distressed the edges I placed a piece of Concerto at the back of the hole.

The letters are cut from Stripe using the Cricut and Storybook cartridge shadowed on burgundy Bazzill with faux white stitching. I punched a few snowflakes with a MS punch and placed a gem in the middle of each one.

I cut a large snowflake from a sheet of Crystals paper and attached with a large foam pad and placed a punched snowflake in the centre. Sandras layout can be seen here and all Kathryns layouts from the day can be seen here.

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see please leave a comment.

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Lynne x

This easel card is from last Tuesday mornings card class. I have coloured the Magnolia stamped image using 3 Copics from the Cool Greys range C1, C3, C5

The papers are Bo Bunny from the Unforgettable collection black and vanilla Bazzill, added a ribbon band on top of a strip of black webbing

the flower and leaves are cut from the BB paper and decoupaged using silicone a little  stickles here and there and black card candy to finish off.

Friend Word Book

Yesterday when I showed a pic of my workspace for WOYWW my WIP was a FRIEND word book.

A few of you mentioned you would like to see it when finished.

After covering all the letters with Jazmyne glittered papers from Bo Bunny I inked all the edges with Eggplant and added several colours of contrasting spotty Bo Bunny ribbon by making bows on some of the letters and through the three rings.

Lots of bling and flowers as requested by my customer

as the book is an order I can not show all of the page as I have now added the pictures.

I now have an order for a BABY word album to make for a little boy.

Today was Ava's first morning at nursery, she had been for a visit last week with her Mum and Dad and today they left her for two hours. I don't know who would have the longest two hours, do you? Here is a little picture of her already to go.

Memo block holder

Good morning all, yes I am here again, twice in two days and I hope you noticed I did manage two post yesterday.
I joined in with the WOYWWers yesterday and I am still working my way round everyone. I saw some yummy stash on my travels and lots of WIP. If I haven't visited you yet I hope to soon, it might take a while, a few days in fact but I will be over to visit you all. I have missed blogging and I didn't realise how much until yesterday. I have made so many lovely friends through blogland.

Wednesday night is craft night at our Craft Den Studio and this is what we made last night. A lovely little memo block holder. Just the thing to keep at the side of your phone or it would even make a nice little pressie.

The papers are Sandyion and we decorated the top with one of our Craft Den butterflies, everyone loves making these little beauties.

Ava in the garden on Saturday asking Grandad to hold her bag for her...

while she stops for a spot of reading.

Ava loves being out in the garden and she loves her books, but she does not like the feel of grass, so she doesn't sit down. lol I think Grandad might have to make her a garden seat.

SEWING is the theme for our ATC swap and STARS for this months challenge over on ANYTHING GOES we had 38 entries last week for our Sparkle and Shine theme, thank you to all who entered.

What ever you are doing today ENJOY! and try and find time for a bit of crafting.

Thank you to those of you who have emailed to see if I was ill and wondering why I have not blogged, you are all so thoughtful.
