Saturdays Pardo Jewellery Class

Fimo Bev, although not sure if we will have to rename Bev now to Viva Bev as she will be in the studio on Saturday showing us how to make beads for jewellery making with the fabulous Viva Pardo Jewellery Clay. This class is a taster session of bead making leading to more advance classes of making different more exotic beads and pendants with the beautiful clay. It will give you the chance to come and try out the new clay and and make a few two colour beads which will be made into a lovely finished set of strung beads to take home, similar to the one pictured. I say similar as you will have the choice of two colours from the range of coloured clays available.

Disrupted opening hours!

I am sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances the Craft Den studio will be closed during the day on Wednesday and possibly Thursday during the day. Please ring before travelling on these two days, to check. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. It has been unavoidable.

Thursday evening scrapbooking is still on and all other classes will go a head as timetabled.

Our new web site went live yesterday and we are trying to get all the stock - both old and new loaded on to it... it all takes time, it will be worth it though. Again sorry for any inconvenience, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible, promise.

Thank you for you kind emails of concern, they are much appreciated.

Just seen the weather report for this week and there is more snow coming!!

Enjoy your day and hope you manage to fit some crafting in! :-)

A little more news on Ann...

Thank you for all your kind comments and well wishes I will pass them on to Ann when I go and visit her in hospital. Ann was moved from the Northern General where she was admitted early yesterday to the Hallamshire last night. Ann has now been diagnosed as having chronic pneumonia and is now been given the necessary drugs by IV drip and has been told she will be in hospital for a long time! Ann like all of us does not like being in hospital so Ann thoughts on this and in Ann's words 'What a Bummer' lol

Ann...

I though I should let you all know that our good friend and crafting buddy Ann Flutterbycrafter went back in to hospital yesterday as she took a turn for the worse. If you follow our blogs you will know Ann has double pneumonia and had been out of hospital for little more than a week. The doctors at the hospital had allowed Ann home as long as she promised to continue resting and taking things easy. During this time Ann was taking antibiotics but not showing any improvement. On Friday morning Ann had an xray and the doctor told Ann her infection was much worse than two weeks earlier and she would have to go back into hospital on Monday, if she had not shown any signs of improvement over the weekend. However Ann became much worse and went back in to hospital early on Saturday morning. I am sure you will all join me in wishing Ann a speedy recovery. Hurry up and get better Ann we are all missing you at Craft Den. xoxoxo

Ann has received so many beautiful cards and get well wishes from so many of you, her crafting friends of which she much appreciates. I will let you know when I have any more news. Lynne xxx

Not enough hours!!

Hello everybody! Sorry for not blogging over the last few days. Is it me or are the days getting shorter? There never seems to be enough hours in day. I haven't been blog hopping for days and I have really missed it. I love looking at what all you talented lot have been up to, so at the weekend I hope to change that. Although I have been crafting I can't show and share it yet, as I know some of my family have been known to read my blog from time to time. I made some grunge paper flowers the other day, coloured them with fired brick distress ink and finished them off with some same colour distress stickles and I was rather pleased with the result, I won't be showing you those either as Alfie has eaten them!! I wouldn't mind but I hadn't even take a picture! :-(

What I can show is a card I made for my friend Ann Flutterbycrafter

Ann if you are reading this - Hope you are feeling a bit better, we are all missing you! Everybody from craft class sends love and hugs.

Before I forget the February ATC challenge theme is 'Love' well it can't be anything else can it?? lol
Friday again tomorrow, yavvy!! Do any of you remember the saying about it being Friday and Crunchie time?? mmmmmmm I wonder...

The cutest witch I've ever seen!!

The background is Adirondack wild plum blended on a sheet of Blonde Moments Yorkshire Pudding paper and stamped over with one of Tim's background stamps with black archival ink.

On two sides of the paper I drew round the largest 'stamped' Colour My World template and cut out, off set on a sheet of black Bazzill, faux stitched in white added three pictures of the cutest witch on her first Halloween...

I stuck pink grosgrain to black satin ribbon, pleated and added some small brads to hold in place...

added a title a few flowers, buttons, card candy, black bling and Viva pearl pen in black and lilac.

Chocolate cake and flowers!!

Someone asked me to to make an Anniversary card for her parents, and this is what I have made.

Basic Grey Wisteria papers, Bazzill and the stripe is from Nana's nursery stack for boys. Sarah Kay stamped image coloured with Copics and cut with Nellie C's oval and mounted on a large oval nestie, Martha Stewart new scalloped edge punch finished off with flowers and charm.

We have had a great scrapbooking class tonight and to top it off Mary had baked a chocolate and toffee brownie cake...... it was to die for!! delicious. Thank you Mary and also thank you for my beautiful flowers.

I will blog my layout tomorrow along with our January ATC's you still have a few more days left if you would like to join in the theme is 'Springtime'

I have also been asked if I can start a challenge blog for cards and scrapbooking!!So I will have a think about that one.

Quick cards!!

A couple of very quick birthday cards.

I am always last minute with everything just lately, and as I have been suffering with head ache I had put off making any cards...until yes you've guessed it, until last minute!! While rummaging through my stash I came across a couple of sheets of images!! There are four different designs to each sheet. I quickly found some suitable background paper, contrast card stock and matching flowers, which turned out to be enough to make two and hey presto a couple of quick cards.

Now to make an anniversary card!
