New Look Shop

Craft Den has undergone a makeover this weekend and it looks absolutely great!! The shelves have been replaced by slat wall which gives scope to hang lots more crafting goodies and the shelves have been refitted in a different area to give even more display space.

Julie arrived early on Saturday morning and set to work boxing up all the stock from the shelves. Julie, armed with a screwdriver then took all the shelves down ready for the slat wall to be fitted. After lots of drilling and hammering Julie and Chanelle then set to work unpacking all the stock.

A big THANK YOU to Julie and Chanelle for all your hard work I could not have got it all done in a weekend without you both.

I don't have any pictures of the new look shop for you tonight I will take some tomorrow, but what I do have are some lovely pictures of my beautiful little grand daughter Ava ready for bed

What a lovely weekend

Not blogged for days so lots to share tonight. First of all a scrapbook page Chanelle has made with the new papers from Bo Bunny. This page is so striking with the strong vibrant pinks and lime greens, absolutely stunning.


The sparking mdf butterfly, painted pink and covered with glamour dust fluttering between the flowers and jewels.


I have been taking some more pictures of the page Chanelle made last week with the black and dark cream flock papers from GCD to try and show the flower embellishment and black jewels in more detail, my photographs do not do them justice, I need a lot more practice with my new camera!! lol



A good day was had by one and all when Claire from Crafters Companion visited the studio yesterday to demonstrate the new flower fairies Cd and stamps.


In the evening I had a lovely meal with all my family for Mothers day and lots of hugs with Ava!! Ava is now 10 weeks old and getting more beautiful everyday.

Lots of lovely new stash now in stock!!

All the new stuff we ordered at the trade show last month has started arriving!! It has been like Christmas opening all the parcels.

and my favorite Love Shack all of this collection is now in stock.
The new Daisy Bucket paper ranges are now in stock; Little black dress, Nantucket Island, Posh posies and My little Monsters are now all in. Beautiful Day is due in soon!!

Some lovely flock and die cut papers from GCD Chanelle has mixed the new flock GCD papers with the Bo Bunny unforgettable range.

We will be uploading all the new paper collections and other new stock onto the website, hopefully during the next few days.

Don't forget next Sunday March 22nd Claire from Crafters Companion will be demonstrating in the shop all day for Mothers day.

Bunnies & Bears

Just a short post tonight, as we have had lots of new stock delivered this week that still needs uploading to the website!! I am also trying to update the layout slightly!! so if you call by over the next few days while all this is going on and can't find what you are looking for send us an email to info@craftden.co.uk and we let you know if we have it in stock. We are still offering free P&P until the end of March.

We have had another delivery of nestibilities today: scalloped heart, scalloped square, scalloped circle, classic circle, classic square. Lots and lots of scrummy new papers from Daisy Bucket, Bo Bunny and GCD. The GCD papers are really fabby in shades of black and grey, some with flock and some are pre cut mmmm very nice.

Fimo Bev is in the studio again tomorrow. In the morning Bev will be showing us how to make Easter rabbits and in the afternoon cute teddies with bunches of flowers, or if you prefer you can decorate an MDF box with pretty papers and paints for Easter and fix your Easter bunny to the top. We still have a few places left.

Ava - Copics & Fimo - what a mixture!!

My darling little grand-daughter Ava who is nearly nine weeks old, had her first injections today, poor little thing, she was very brave though and and only had a little cry. :-(

Ready for home, doesn't she look cute with her little hat on. Ben (daddy) got her all ready for home with hat and jacket and she never woke up!! lol

We are arranging another Copic workshop in Sheffield for around the end of April so if you are interested and would like some more information or you would like to book a place email info@craftden.co.uk.

There are still some places left on this Saturday's Fimo classes with Fimo Bev 10am -12 noon Easter rabbit and 1pm-3pm Teddy with basket of flowers, also on Saturday afternoon at the studio 1pm-3pm we will be decorating an MDF box with papers and paints.

Who ate all the doughnuts?

Saturdays Copics workshop was great fun. But I have been blamed by a little fellow who goes by the name of Calvin mouse papercrafter and superstar of eating ALL the doughnuts!!! you only have to look at the size of his belly to see who ate ALL the doughnuts?? What a weekend!!

Yesterday was Maddy's Copic workshop in the studio. We all had a great time and guess who came with Maddy? Yes, you've guessed the superstar himself the one and only Calvin Mouse.
He made his first apearance in the biscuit tin!!

and then he found the chocolate doughnuts!! If you visit Chanelle's blog you can see Calvin enjoying himself in the chocolate doughnuts!! We did lots of chatting and lots of laughing but we also did some crafting -

Maddy presented Net with a £20 gift voucher for wining the 2nd Copic Challege Craft Den had sponsored.

When it was time for Maddy to leave to catch the train back home to Leeds, Calvin mouse could not be found any where!! So Maddy had to go home with out him!! We would all like to thank Maddy for yesterday as we all had a great time and we hope it won't be too long before you visit us again!!

This morning I was unpacking boxes at the papercraft show at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield and there was Calvin mouse sat in the middle of the Copic pens!!

and later he was in the ribbon box!!

I've told him I think it best if he goes home to Maddy tomorrow before his return ticket runs out!!

Tomorrows Copics Workshop

Maddy has been busy making up samples for tomorrows Copic workshop.

But Calvin mouse isn't very happy about tomorrows workshop so if you hop over to Maddy's blog you can find out why.

A very hectic week!

Lots happening this week, very hectic both in the shop and the studio.
Ann very kindly did lots of samples for last nights alcohol inks class we had some amazing results, well done ladies and thank you Ann for the samples. Ann is just setting up a craft blog and I am sure there will be some great cards, tags and altered projects on there soon!!

Congratulations to Net who has won the 2nd Copic Colour Challenge which Craft Den are sponsoring with a £20 gift voucher. Net came in the shop for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago to buy some Copic pens and give them a try!! Well done Net!!

Maddy Hill is in the studio on Saturday for a Copic workshop and we still have a few places left.
On Sunday we will be at the Maxpapercraft show at Don Valley 10:00am - 4pm so if you have no plans for Sunday we would love you to come and say hello.

This weekend is the launch of the Flower Fairies from Crafters Companion. We are taking pre-orders for the DVD and it will be in the shop on Monday 9th March.
Crafters Companion demo in the studio for Mothers day on March 22nd from 10:00am - 4pm they will be demonstrating there new Flower Fairies rubber stamps.

Copic pens sets are now in stock and we do sell the pens individually at £1.99 each. We are still offering free P & P on all web sales and phone sales until the end of March. So don't miss out!! :-)

Fimo Fairy Book

A good time was had by all today when 'Fimo' Bev visited the studio.


This morning everyone made Fimo fairies and butterflies and during lunch the fairies and butterflies were cooked in the oven.

This afternoon we covered an 6 x 6 MDF book with beautiful fairy papers, inks and ribbons and attached the fairies and butterflies to the front cover. I will upload more pictures tomorrow.

Unable to blog!!

I have not been able to post on my blog for nearly 2 days!! Don't know the reason why just know it has been very annoying!!!

Has any one else had this problem?? I have received emails from bloggers who can not link to my blog candy!! that's very very annoying too!!! If you are one of those bloggers please leave a comment even if you can't link. I do not want anyone to miss out on the chance of candy!! :-)

Hot off the press!!!! The Copic Ciaos deliver arrived on Wednesday and I could not tell you all!!! The Copic Ciaos pens are £1.99 each and available by mail order from our studio shop. We will be adding the pens to our web site as soon as possible but we have been having problems there too!! just not been a very good week technology wise!! lol We will also be stocking the starter packs and sets, expected delivery dates and stock updates on new stock can be found (or will be available when I can update)on our website here hopefully we will be able to keep it updated!!!

I planned on doing something to celebrate the birth of my gorgeous granddaughter and never got round to it!! Ava is four weeks old today so here it is!!
Lots of lovely stash!! I will keep this at the top of my blog until next Monday evening.

Naughty but Nice!!

The new Smirk range by Kyla May arrived today and its great!! Real fun designs, tastefully foiled and glittered with cute characters on suitable for all ages!! The range consists of papers, albums, chipboard tags, shakers and clear acrylic stamps, in two designs 'Naughty but Nice' and 'Love & Friendship'.

DCWV also new in today, the Sweet stack 48 delicious 12x12 glittered papers matching chipboard tags, they are real scrummy yummy!!!! Pictures to follow, we will be adding all the new stock to the website shortly.

Pretty much the same

The view from the kitchen window this morning looks much the same as Monday!! I plan on venturing out today with the camera, yes I am going to brave the weather conditions!! I do actually like the snow and as I have no young children now to play out with I will take the dogs!! I took the dogs on Monday but forgot the camera!! lol So some more snowy scenes and then who knows maybe some wintery layouts!! :-)

The bushes are flat with the weight of the snow, looks like they've had a hair cut!! lol
