Baby quilt

Thank goodness the thunder and  rain has passed over. Hasn't it been a horrid day? Wet, hot, cold, wet, thunder, rain sun. One minute it was raining, really bucketing it down the next the sun was out and the paths were steaming half an hour later the rain was back. I wished it would make its mind up! Anyway what ever you have been doing today I hope you have all managed to keep dry, perhaps been able to stay in doors crafting.

I have been busy sewing, making the patchwork blocks for a baby girls 1st birthday quilt. I will take some photos when its finished. This quilt is one I made a few weeks back for a baby boys birthday. The blocks are 10" square, not a very good picture I know. The fabric had such lovely farmyard scenes on it I didn't want to cut it up. lol

Polka Dots with a Birthday Theme

The challenge this fortnight over on Anything Goes is Polka Dots with a Birthday Theme.

I have made a 8" x 8" card, the backing paper is a sheet from a Spring Feast First Editions paper stack, love these papers they are 200gsm some are double sided and the others have that beautiful glitter effect like this one that doesn't rub off.

As the theme is Polka Dots I have tried to use as many dots and spots as I could find. Bo Bunny Coral Dot from the Double Dot collection, Black and White spot paper from Echo Park Bella Road collection cut with a scalloped circle nestie. Dotted Swizz from Bazzill in white for the tag with Bo Bunny Double Dot ribbon.

All the edges including my flowers are coloured with Versa magic chalk ink Red Brick.

Fabulous day...

Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday with the pics as promised, I am having problems sitting, the result of a fall I had a few weeks ago.

Here are a few of my photos from Sunday. Rocco took a liking to my sewing tin the lid is a very large shaped wooden button. He played for a while taking the lid on and off and then when it was time to tidy up he was off with it! lol

We then went out for a lovely meal. Here's Ava counting her money...

Rocco with his eye on something I think it was Ava's ice cream

on the way home we called off at the park for a swing

It was a lovely day and we all had a great time.

The card I am sharing with you today is 8" x 8" the papers are Basic Grey 12 x 12 Origins and Bazzill cardstock.

EK Success Rock Fern punch, Cheery Lynn Flourish die Craftwork cards sentiments and a few pearls all finished off with some lovely Stickles.

Tonight I have a train album to show you.

I have used Magnolia 12 x 12 papers to cover the pages with Bazzill cardstock for the wheels etc with a touch of silver glitter card for the funnel, finished off with lots of ribbons tied on the book rings and some crystal Stickles highlight the edges..

I found this a challenge without any pics.

What to do when you don't want to be 60...

After lots of help from other fellow bloggers I seem to have sorted leaving comments and now that I have changed the background I can receive comments too! So a BIG thank you to everyone who has suggested different things to try.

Now for todays card.  A customer asked if I could make a glittery silver and white card with 59 + 1 for her husband who really didn't want to be 60. This is what I came up with, what do you think?

My customer loved it and more importantly so did her husband. :-)

Tuesday card class

Good morning to all my crafting buddies. It looks like being a nice day again today here in Sheffield.... fingers crossed. :-)

The flowers are embossed on black and white colour core cardstock using an embossing folder called 'Dandelion Whispers' lightly sanded back to reveal the white core. Crystal stickles to highlight and card candi for the center of the flowers.

Anemone card

Good evening  to all my crafting buddies. I hope you have all had a good weekend despite the horrid weather. The sun managed to get out today in Sheffield, fingers crossed it will do again tomorrow.

For todays card I have used IndigoBlu Anemone corner stamp and Bo Bunny papers.

Anemone corner stamp and Bo Bunny papers. The stamped image is coloured with Copics and edged with crystal stickles, the leaves are EK Success rock leaf punch.
The sentiment is from the IndigoBlu Poppy Meadow stamp set and layered on card cut using two Spellbinder scalloped square nesties.

Thank you for your emails letting me know you can not leave me comments.
I know how annoying that can be! lol

Big Birthday Wishes

Well its managed to keep dry here this afternoon in Sheffield. It is still cold although the sun has tried to come out on a few occasions. I have a card to share with this you this afternoon that I made for my Auntie's birthday.

The papers are Bo Bunny from the Peacock Lane collection and the numbers are cut from Bazzill Dotted Swizz.
Wherever you are I hope it has managed to keep fine and dry and you are enjoying your weekend.

Black, white and Gold

A quick card using IndigoBlu stamps, FlitterGlu and MegaFlake

The Anemone image was stamped with FlitterGlu on black card and MegaFlake added, matted and layered on a gold embossed card and then on black. I have stamped around the edges of an 8 x 8 card with black archival ink using a small flourish stamp.

A close up picture to show the detail, the rich gold colours work so well on the black card.

Once Upon a Springtime Icon

The rain may have stopped but it is still very, very cold not at all like June, we've got the heating on. Think it might be a indoor crafting weekend.

I was asked to decorated this little wooden icon for a present. I started by painting the back, sides and edges with acrylic paint in a soft peach and left to dry. I cut three strips of paper from a Once upon a Springtime 8 x 8 Graphic 45 paper stack to fit the 3 panels. The pictures are just the right size. I added lots of Stickles to the fairies in crystal, tiara and waterfall, rubbed Viva Decor Inka Gold in Old Gold on all the edges and finished of with a small bling flourish cut in half . My customer loved it, hope her Mum does too.
