Getting back to normal...

It's week 5 over at Anything Goes and this week the theme is Vintage. Why not pop over and have a look what our DT have been busy making and even better why not join in?

Things have been all go around here for the last week or so we have been busy, busy, busy. Things are getting back to normal a bit now I am glad to say. Although what is normal. Thank you to everyone who sent me a birthday card the house is full, it is like Christmas we have them strung over the walls. There are some real beauties everyone has been so kind I have had loads of pressies and I am making thank you cards, but it might take a while.

I have started uploading my cards here and there are lots more to come. lol

We have had a week of celebrations which started on Monday with our Wedding Anniversary we spent a lovely day together and in the evening we went for a meal, thanks Bob really enjoyed myself, hope you did too. Wednesday night was another meal out this time with my crafting buddies, thank you ladies although the meal didn't go to plan we had a laugh... 'I am working down my list' was I think the funniest line of the night. To give you an idea the starters didn't arrive until after the main course, but what else can you say when you have been told 'I'm only on minimum wage! lol

The service was better when we got back and the dessert was delicious. Thank you Ann for my yummy birthday cake.

Thursday was my birthday with lots of pressies really been spoilt this year. It is great being 21, again, I wish. 

I had a lovely relaxing pamper day getting my hair and nails done. Drinks out in the evening with my darling hubby.

We couldn't have asked for better weather and company at the weekend we spent most of the time in the garden with family and friends and Ava spent most of her time in the paddling pool, she is a real water baby. My party on Saturday evening was a great night too so many relations who I hadn't seen for absolutely ages, oh dear where have all the years gone? Sunday was a another meal out with the family before everyone went back home. The whole week has been fantastic only wish I had got more pictures, so busy enjoying myself forgot all about pictures but I am sure some one while have some. Ava had managed to take a few with Daddies camera. lol

Looks like being a scorcher again today so make sure you have your factor 40 on.

Day Off...

Got a day off today, Yippeee!! and I am off to get pampered hair first then nails, bliss, and then I am off out again. This will be the third time this week, could get in to being a bit of a habit, this gadding about lark :-)

Spent a very enjoyable evening last night with some fabulous crafting friends, we went out for a meal to kick start my birthday celebrations. They are a very talented creative bunch who had made me the most amazing, birthday cards, THANK YOU ladies for my beautiful cards and gorgeous pressies you are the best, love you all thank you so very, very much. xx

It is just 4.30am I have been up since 3.15am can't sleep, I am so excited lol
Not really had to get up for the loo too much J20 last night and then couldn't get back to sleep, will probably be snoozing while I am at the hairdressers. lol

I have now been on the Internet over 25 mins with out it freezing on me, just lately I have only get 5 - 10 mins, do you think it could be because everyone is still in bed? lol

Right I am off to take photographs of my beautiful cards to share with you all. Hopefully I will be able to upload some piccies later, as my missing blogger buttons are back, they must have been away on a short mini break. lol
I am hoping to fit some blog hopping in later and having a look at what you have all been up to, Internet permitting. It is ages since I visited everyone and I have missed you all :-(

Tuesday morning...

It is a lovely hot sunny  morning here in Sheffield and it has been the most glorious weekend. My Internet problems are still not completely sorted I have a new laptop as my old one was over heating and we also need a new router so although I have manged to get on the Internet it is very very slow and freezes often. I haven't got all my icons in blogger this morning either so will have to pop back later and to upload pictures.

Friday and Saturday was our charity weekend and I would like to thank everyone who gave up both time and crafty stash and came and made cards with us. We don't know the totals raised until the donation tins go in for counting. We are keeping the raffle going until this weekend to allow more time for selling raffle tickets, so be warned no ones safe, I will be rattling my tin lol.

Bob and I spent a lovely day together yesterday for our Anniversary very relaxed and enjoyable. More later Lynne xx

Aaaarrrrrrrgggghh Internet!

We are still having Internet problems, looks like we need a new router and we are thinking of changing IPs so I have not been able to get round and have a look what you have all been up to or leave comments. :-( I assure you I am not ignoring you and I will make it in my way to catch up, I promise although the next couple of days are going to be hectic has we have our charity event on Friday and Saturday 18th & 19th June.

You do need to book a space if you are planning on coming and joining in with the card making etc at the studio on either of the days. I would hate for anyone to turn up and there be no work space for them. If you have already made something to donate which does not have to be a card it can be anything that can be sold during the event or can be sent to one of the charity shops to raise money for The Sheffield Children's Hospital & Weston Park Hospital you can drop them off between 10am - 4pm o the said days. If you are not sure please ring the studio we can not rely on email at the moment. :-( contact details here

While we are having Internet connection problems it might take a while to get round all your WOYWWers too as there are getting more and more each week. More later Lynne xx

just how I left it last nighyt. it is a bit different this week as I have been sorting out my beading stuff, not done any for ages and thought I might make some up to sell for our charity event.

Anything Goes & Charity Event

Good morning to you all, it is a lovely bright sunny Wednesday morning here in Sheffield which makes a pleasant change during the 'rainy season' lol

This weeks challenge over at Anything Goes is Buttons and Bows in Monochrome - shades of one colour.

I was early yesterday evening before the post went live as I was having a few blogger moment to say the least yesterday, all seems well up to now this morning so fingers crossed. Our very talented design team have come up with some very creative cards and tags again this week so why not pop over and take a look? don't forget 'Anything Goes' tags, scrapbook pages, cards mini albums...

It is our charity card making event this weekend Friday & Saturday 8th & 9th June 10am - 3pm Thank you to those of you that have already made and brought in cards, and gifts. All donations are gratefully received and what is not sold during our event will be divided equally between The Sheffield Children's Hospital and Weston Park charity shops on Friday 28th June, up until that date the goods will be on display and available in the Craft Den Studio. Please come along and help us raise some money for these very worthy charities.

Where has this week gone?

Good morning all. A bit of a grey Sunday morning here in Sheffield, very different to yesterday, it was bright sunny and very warm. Well that is another week gone, but where has it gone? We are nearly in the middle of June already, can you believe that, half way through the year, in a blink of the eye.

'Shoes' is the theme for the Craft Den June ATC challenge, we had some beautiful flower entries

for May 'Flowers' can't wait to see what you all come up with for June.

I haven't made mine yet, but hope to remedy that later. 

Don't forget please send a SAE with your ATC if you want us to post your swaps out to you. We will of course save them for next time you are in the studio if you are collecting them.

Pearls & Lace is the theme this week over on our challenge blog Anything Goes and Pink & Cream are the colours. Pop over and take a look at what our very talented and creative design team have made, they have come up with some fabulous ideas and made some absolutely gorgeous cards, scrapbook pages, tag and box go on pop over you won't be disappointed and it might just inspire you to join us.

So if you were wondering what to do this grey Sunday, why not make a Shoe ATC or something with pearls and lace, or why not make both? Don't forget Anything Goes, so you could make two ATC's

Here is a card I made for Kerry who is getting married next weekend. I have got several wedding stamps, and have been asked to make lots of wedding and anniversary cards lately so I have been digging them all out and having a rummage. I had forgotten I had a lot of them! but don't tell BH, as he is always saying 'you've got that much stuff, especially 'Billy Stampers' that is what he calls rubber stamps lol

The card is a very pale pink 8x8, decorated with yummy pearlescent papers 

Prima flowers and small pearl flourish, heart shaped doily, heart pins.

Hi All, sorry I have not been around for a few days, been a bit under the weather again :-(

This is just a very quick post to say Thank you to everybody who joined in our May ATC swap and remind you that SHOES is the theme for June.
