Let It Snow!

Our challenge this week over on

Anything Goes

Let It Snow!
I have made a set of ATCs for a change not made any for ages, this is one of them.
The papers I have used are Black Market Paper Society 'Plum Pudding' Crafty Individuals 'Let It Snow ' stamp MS snowflake punch, Craftwork cards card candy and finished off with some pearl pen. I will show more of them later, blogger permitting.

It has taken several goes over the 3 days to blog this, which has been a challenge in itself.

I am also unable to leave any comments for any of you, the comment box either isn't there or editable or it just comes up error on page and won't open arrrgghhh! I will keep trying so don't think I am ignoring you. Any suggestions welcome. I have been through the help files on blogger but with no joy. I did think for a while it had sorted itself out but it seems worse if anything.

So back to this weeks challenge Let It Snow

We have two guest designers joining our DT this week

so why not pop over and take a look at what they have all been busy making, there are some beautiful works of art on there. Thank you ladies you have done us proud.

I would also like to thank Kathryn for persevering with the post as it became a challenge in itself this week getting the pictures and Mr Linky all on the blog, when blogger just didn't want to play!

Happy Crafting

Emboss It!

Tuesday evening and time for another challenge over at

The theme for our 24th Challenge is:

Emboss It
This can be Cuttlebug, Sizzix embossing folders or similar,
stencil and light box, embossing board, stamping and heat embossing, triple embossing or any other embossing you can think of, we would love to see it.

This is my card I have used a Cuttlebug folder for the pearlescent grey and one of Tim Holtz embossing folders from the Alterations range, love this folder it gives very deep embossed detail. It has been sanded and then lightly inked with a pale lilac chalk ink, matted on some white cardstock with a piece of ric rack braid stapled on with a Ranger tiny attacher. A band of lilac card stock that has also been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

A close up pic to show the punched buttons, yes they are black paper

Ribbon, tag and a few black pearls to finish off

Why not pop over and have a look at the fabulous creations our DT have come up with this week?

Ribbons!!

It is week 20 over at on our challenge blog 'Anything Goes'
and the theme is Ribbons

I have weaved some different widths and colours of ribbons together
and made it into a little cushion

what do you think?

It measures approximately 10" x 10"

There is very little sewing involved so it came together pretty quickly.

I took some navy, pink and grey satin ribbons, pins, cork board, interfacing and the iron. I cut a piece of interfacing 10" x 10" placed it on the cork, face up. Pinned my ribbons along one edge alternating widths and colours to make it interesting. Turn the cork board and then the same on the next side. Next is the fun bit, to weave them.

When I was pleased with the pattern, placed a damp cloth on the top and gently ironed to attach the ribbons to the interfacing to hold them in place. I then cut a piece of navy cotton fabric to make the back of the cushion. Machined stitched around three and a half sides, turned the right way out. Stuffed with a nice soft filling and then hand stitched the rest.

This could also be done on a smaller scale and used for panels in cards with no need for stitching.

So get out your ribbon boxes and see what you come up with.

Link them to our challenge blog so we can pop over as we would love to see them.

Happy Crafting.

It's Friday!

Good morning all, its Friday again. Yay! I know I say this a lot but where has the week gone? Don't the days just fly by? It will be Crimbo before we know it. Yes, it is only 4 months away, 133 days to make the cards, do the shopping and all the rest of the prep. I send over 100 hand made Christmas cards every year. If I got started now and made one card a day I would be ready. But you know what? I just know it won't happen, I have all these good intentions, come December I will be burning the midnight oil and as the big day get closer it will be mayhem in our house, tis every year. OK well thats enough of my ramblings, well at least for this morning.

So what have we been up to this week in the studio we made a tag bag

I drew the shape on a piece of paper to make a template, when I was happy with the shape I then cut 2 out in greyboard. The shape is just under 6" one 12 x12 sheet will cover one bag. I have used Bo Bunny Love Shack. After covering the bag I inked the edges with Adirondack Lettuce. I cut some pockets and tags on the Expression for the inside to put some photos on. Punched a few flowers with my large daisy punch added a Sugar Nellie gorguss girl and some heart bling to finish off.

What every you are doing today enjoy and if you get time to fit in some crafting why not try our challenge.

Thank Crunchie its Friday. Hugs Lynne xx
