Bickits
She was just getting over a flu virus when she started with a sickness bug, which was first thought to be food poisoning, poor little mite. I am happy to say she is now well on the mend and needs building up as she has lost a lot of weight.
So I was really pleased when she phoned last night, with the help of Dad of course. Ava does know how to get the lock of the phone, last time she rang my cousins wife. I think that maybe the first of many calls they will be getting them being the first name in the contacts list, her name is Ann. lol
So when I received these pictures I thought I would share them with you all. Can't wait to print them off and scrapbook them. Might have to be one of Sunday's projects I think.
mmm looking good
Happy Crafting.

Another Christmas Card!
Another card from Saturdays Christmas workshop. A wrap over card with a large tag in the pocket. Bo Bunny papers, Cuttlebug snowflake die, Martha Stewart deep edge snowflake punch and small snow flake, pearl pen, card candy and ribbon to finish off.
I cut a large white snowflake with my Cuttlebug die and covered in white puff paint, while still wet I sprinkled with Glamour Dust and left to dry. When dry I heated with heat gun to activate the puff paint. Looks better in real life, as they say.
Our challenge over on Anything Goes this week is Black and White it runs until tomorrow evening, so you still have time to join us.

Ribbons!!
and the theme is Ribbons
I have weaved some different widths and colours of ribbons together
and made it into a little cushion
It measures approximately 10" x 10"
There is very little sewing involved so it came together pretty quickly.
I took some navy, pink and grey satin ribbons, pins, cork board, interfacing and the iron. I cut a piece of interfacing 10" x 10" placed it on the cork, face up. Pinned my ribbons along one edge alternating widths and colours to make it interesting. Turn the cork board and then the same on the next side. Next is the fun bit, to weave them.
When I was pleased with the pattern, placed a damp cloth on the top and gently ironed to attach the ribbons to the interfacing to hold them in place. I then cut a piece of navy cotton fabric to make the back of the cushion. Machined stitched around three and a half sides, turned the right way out. Stuffed with a nice soft filling and then hand stitched the rest.
This could also be done on a smaller scale and used for panels in cards with no need for stitching.
So get out your ribbon boxes and see what you come up with.
Link them to our challenge blog so we can pop over as we would love to see them.
Happy Crafting.

Quick Christmas cards for Charity.
A couple of weeks ago she was asking if I had any ideas for making some quick Christmas cards for one of her fund raising events. Theses are a few of the cards I came up with. I forgot to photograph them all! I know I am always doing that.
The first one is a mix of punched leaves in an assortment of greens to make arranged in a circle. The white flowers are Dovecraft, the packs contain a mix of white flowers and leaves for 99p yes, a bargain. I have layered two of the flowers together with silicone, edged with Stickles and liquid pearl centre. The sentiment is Craftwork cards with added ribbon.
Christmas has come early!
After deleting the early entrries at the beginning of the week, when editing the post I decided to add mine as a link! Play safe if you know what I mean and I was the 100 entrant!! Wooohoooo!
This is just one of a set of book marks I have made with a Christmas theme. I have inked the back with Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters DI, stamped around the edge with Pine Needles added a torn piece of Cosmos Cricket from the Winter Mittens 6 x 6 pad Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart snowflake, card candy, Stickles and white pen checked ribbon to finish off. If you haven't joined in yet with this weeks challenge, there is still time as it runs until Tuesday evening 7pm.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
